For several years, the Centre de bénévolat et moisson Laval was able to adapt to the significant changes that took place in volunteer work. As a result, we have started to engage groups of corporate employees, and this on a larger scale than what had previously been done, to help us with our mission. More specifically, more than a thousand people from nearly a hundred companies were able to lend a hand to our organization in the last year. The impact of these groups on our Centre is extremely significant.
Multiple sectors of corporate volunteer involvement in our organization: work in and production in the garden, sorting perishable and non-perishable foodstuff items, maintenance of fresh product boxes, operations related to food processing, and operations related to landscaping maintenance. Increasingly, the presence of corporate employee groups promotes citizen participation.
We find great cultural diversity in these groups and this allows newcomers to be involved in the community.
