Christmas basket campaign

Since 1984, the Christmas basket campaign (CPN) at Centre de bénévolat et Moisson Laval has called on the generosity of Laval residents to help families in need.

What are Christmas baskets?
Each basket contains the equivalent of a full week’s grocery shopping: 19 non-perishable products and 20 perishable products, such as milk, fruits, vegetables, and bread. As much as 60,000 kg of food is needed just to fill the baskets, the equivalent of nearly 60 elephants.

The CPN helps feed more than 2,500 Laval families, including 1,830 vulnerable children who have brighter Christmas holidays thanks to the donations. Over the past 37 years, more than 47,000 families have benefitted from this help.
