Description

Each year, the first Thursday of December is dedicated to solidarity in the fight against food insecurity and to raising awareness about this important issue.

In Quebec, around a hundred media outlets and thousands of volunteers come together to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations to support people experiencing food insecurity.

During the holiday season, the demand for food increases significantly. We join forces to ensure that everyone can celebrate this special time of year with dignity. The contributions collected are also used in the following months, when donations tend to decrease but needs remain just as urgent.

Together for the cause

The Centre de bénévolat et Moisson Laval (CBML) and the Société de Saint-Vincent de Paul (SSVP) work hand in hand to ensure the success of this important event, which provides food assistance to those going through difficult times.

The Guignolée des médias campaign raised $140,207 for the Laval region in 2024! Will we be able to surpass that amount this year?

To make a monetary donation, you have three options:

  • Visit one of the collection points on December 5

  • Make an online donation by December 31 

  • Send a check payable to La Guignolée des médias de Laval — 1870 rue Michelin, Laval, QC H7L 4R3
